Australian hypocrisy: Djokovic banned, McGrath played
It was only a few months ago when Australia deported legendary tennis player Novak Djokovic and effectively banned him from playing at the Australian Open tournament, as he was unvaccinated against COVID-19, and it did not seem to matter that he didn’t actually have COVID-19 itself. Source.
Just recently, at the Commonwealth Games in the UK, Australian cricketer Tahlia “McGrath tested positive for COVID-19. She was allowed to not only play, but bat, bowl and field.” A teammate commented: “At the end, screw it. If we get COVID, so be it.” Source. Somehow various Australian experts had no concerns about the COVID-19 positive player potentially infecting other Australians, and people from other countries. After all, “Because McGrath only had mild symptoms it was decided she was allowed to play.” Source.
Djokovic had no symptoms. Because, unlike McGrath, he didn’t have COVID-19.
Okay then.
Note: Some questions you may like to ask. Would it have been fair for all the regular Australian people harmed by the lockdowns, vaccine mandates, and the vaccines themselves, to be able to say, like their athletes, “screw it. If we get COVID, so be it”? Do you still think all this was about protecting you?
