Biden’s border woes

Former US President Trump had long been criticised by Democrats for his hardline stances on immigration. For example, as reported by NBC News last year, Trump was accused of “giving into racism & xenophobia” for seeking to suspend immigration in order to “protect Americans from the coronavirus”.  Source.

This week, CNN reported the Biden administration as insisting that “the southern border is currently closed to migrants”, despite expecting that “the number of migrants arriving at the US border would swell once they took office”. Source.

Okay then.
