As reported by the BBC, key figures in the UK government, including Prime Minister Johnson and Chancellor Rishi Sunak, have been found to have broken the very same COVID-19 lockdown laws they imposed on the British people. Now admitting their error, they initially denied any wrongdoing, leading to critics accusing “Mr Johnson and Mr Sunak of lying to the public about their attendance at the Downing Street gathering, with Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer and the first ministers of Scotland and Wales demanding they step down”.
