CNN ivermectin lies?

Popular podcast host Joe Rogan, who recently recovered quickly from COVID-19 after taking early treatment that included ivermectin, interviewed CNN’s chief medical correspondent Dr Sanjay Gupta. Source.

Rogan played a clip for Gupta of Erin Burnett stating on CNN that Rogan took “ivermectin… a drug used for livestock”. Rogan commented “They’re lying at your network about people taking human drugs… It’s a lie that they’re conscious of. … Why would they lie and say that’s horse de-wormer? I can afford people medicine, motherfucker. …  First of all, it was prescribed to me by a doctor, along with a bunch of other medications.” Gupta admitted that millions of people around the world have taken ivermectin and that “They shouldn’t have said that.” Rogan added, “That’s one thing they didn’t report on, the fact that I was negative 5 days later, and working out 6 days later. … If they’re lying about a comedian taking horse medication, what are they telling us about Russia? What are they telling us about Syria? Do you understand that that’s why people get concerned about the veracity of the news?”
