COVID-19 deaths vs tobacco deaths
We reported earlier that cardiovascular deaths dwarfed COVID-19 deaths. Considering other causes of death, the World Health Organization informs us that “Tobacco kills up to half of its users… Tobacco kills more than 8 million people each year. More than 7 million of those deaths are the result of direct tobacco use while around 1.2 million are the result of non-smokers being exposed to second-hand smoke.” Source.
They also report that there have been around 5.8 million COVID-19 deaths in the roughly 2 years since the pandemic began. Source.
Okay then.
