Data shows COVID-19 vaccines kill as many (or more) than they save?
Organisations such as the CDC (a federal agency in the US) continue to state that “the benefits of COVID-19 vaccination outweigh the known and potential risks”. Source.
A pre-print article [now published in iScience], while seemingly more focused on positively comparing DNA/adenovirus COVID-19 vaccines with mRNA COVID-19 vaccines, states:
- “Within the current understanding of vaccines, it is logical to assume that COVID-19 vaccines reduce overall mortality corresponding to the number of COVID-19 deaths prevented. However, there is now ample evidence that vaccines can have broad heterologous effects on the immune system. These effects can lead to additional protection or increasing susceptibility to unrelated infections or even other non-infectious immune mediated diseases. Therefore, as it has now been established in numerous studies, vaccines may have completely unexpected effects on overall mortality, different from what could be anticipated based on the protection against the vaccine-targeted disease. The current system for testing vaccines does not incorporate this possibility. When the new COVID-19 vaccines were tested in randomised clinical trials (RCTs) against placebo/control vaccine, the trials were not designed to assess the effect on overall mortality.”
- “Based on the RCTs with the longest possible follow-up, mRNA vaccines had no effect on overall mortality despite protecting against fatal COVID-19.” The data revealed a slightly higher mortality in those vaccinated with the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines, compared with placebo, with the fewer COVID deaths offset by more cardiovascular deaths. The risk of cardiovascular death was around 45% higher in the vaccinated groups.
- “While mass-vaccination programs with COVID-19 vaccines are rolled out, data on their effects on non-COVID-19 mortality should be collected. As COVID-19 mortality comes under better control due to herd immunity and increasing vaccination coverage, the impact on non-COVID-19 mortality becomes particularly important from a public health perspective.” Source.
Okay then.
Note: If COVID-19 vaccines kill as many as people as they save from COVID-19, should COVID-19 vaccination be encouraged and even forced on the population? If COVID-19 vaccines kill as many people as they save now, will the situation eventually worsen as there is little to no benefit from the vaccines going forward (partly due to more benign variants and partly due to the vaccines’ waning effectiveness), and with currently unknown adverse effects effectively coming to the fore? In other words, as time goes on, will we find that more people die from the vaccines than were saved [future post, see here]?
