CNN reported that silver prices are surging after “some posts on the WallStreetBets group on Reddit [who it credits for the skyrocketing Gamestop stock price] called for betting on silver as a way to hurt big banks they believe are artificially suppressing prices.” Source.

Searching the Reddit page in question reveals a dearth of posts urging that silver is the next target, multiple posts indicating that GameStop is still very much the focus, and several posts declaring this to be a complete fabrication by the mainstream media and a trap. Source.
