Hollywood hypocrisy exposed?
Democrat-leaning Hollywood has long preached about the dangers of toxic masculinity and violence, while profiting off of it, and even of Republicans and President Trump. For example, in this year’s Academy Awards ceremony host Regina Hall spoke about “a frightening display of how toxic masculinity turns into cruelty towards women and children”, with co-host Wanda Sykes responding: “Damn that [Republican senator] Mitch McConnell”. At the very same ceremony actor Will Smith, prompted by a joke directed at his wife Jada Pinkett Smith, struck comedian Chris Rock on the face, and continued to swear at and threaten him. Smith was not arrested or escorted out of the premises by security. Instead, he was comforted by several other actors, and soon after was given a major acting award. Source. While several Hollywood stars rushed to comfort Smith, it appeared that initially nobody thought to comfort Rock, the victim of the violence. Source. In fact, Smith received two standing ovations, before and “after he completed his victory speech and headed off the stage”. Source.
Okay then.
