Owners of COVID-19 vaccine makers

We reported earlier that several large news organisations, such as CNN, MSNBC, and Fox News, despite differing biases and audiences, seem to have the same few organisations appear in their top shareholder lists, such as Vanguard, BlackRock, and State Street.

Vanguard, BlackRock, and State Street are the top 3 shareholders of COVID-19 vaccine manufacturer Pfizer. Source. They are also the top 3 shareholders of Johnson & Johnson. Source. They are also among the top 4 shareholders of Moderna. Source.

Note: A little extra for the inquisitive. These asset managers, who seem to ‘own’ several top news organisations and vaccine manufacturers, appear not to be among the top shareholders of AstraZeneca. Source. Even CNBC (same owners as MSNBC) recognises that the AstraZeneca vaccine has received much “negative coverage”, to the extent that “AstraZeneca’s reputation has been sorely damaged”. Source.
