Some refugees better than others?

US Vice President Kamala Harris has in the past been quite supportive of Muslim refugees: “Trump restricted refugees from Muslim-majority countries. … We have opened our doors to those fleeing violence and oppression for decades… We can't turn our backs on the millions of refugees who are contributing to our country and our economy.” Source.

Now in the midst of the Ukraining refugee crisis, Harris “was asked whether the US will take in Ukrainian refugees”. She responded by breaking into laughter and letting Polish President Andrzej Duda handle the question. Source.
