US election 2020 - Georgia
We earlier reported that mainstream news outlets continue to refer to President Trump’s “baseless fraud claims”, even as investigations continue in several states. The VoterGA group, investigating possible fraud in Georgia’s Fulton County, has claimed that there are numerous issues, such as that “the error reporting rate in Fulton’s hand count audit is a whopping 60%”, and their finding “7 falsified audit tally sheets containing fabricated vote totals for their respective batches”. Source.
While most such claims are generally being ignored by mainstream news outlets, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution does report on some “evidence to back up allegations of problems in the presidential election”, namely ballots being initially “double-counted” (source), as does Newsweek (source), and The Washington Post (source).
Amidst the ongoing investigation and litigation Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger today stated that “Fulton County’s continued failures have gone on long enough with no accountability. Rick Barron and Ralph Jones, Fulton’s registration chief, must be fired and removed from Fulton’s elections leadership immediately. Fulton’s voters and the people of Georgia deserve better.” Source.
Just a few months ago, as reported by the BBC, Raffensperger called Trump’s claim that he actually won Georgia “just plain wrong”. Source.
Okay then.
