Why trust Pfizer & Moderna when they don't simply answer simple questions?

Some Australian senators recently had the opportunity to question the COVID-19 mRNA vaccine manufacturers. Senator Gerard Rennick noted the lack of safety studies, and asked if Pfizer knows how their vaccine is causing myocarditis and pericarditis, receiving responses like “the number of reports of myocarditis remains small”, ‘the benefits outweigh the risks’, and “I’m happy to take your question on notice”. Senator Matt Canavan asked if the Pfizer vaccine stops transmission, alluding to claims about the jabs that led to vaccine mandates, receiving responses like “the vaccine is a critical tool in protecting the health of individuals who are vaccinated”. Pfizer also denied that “people were forced to take the vaccine”. Source. Senator Alex Antic seems to have asked Moderna about the Fraiman et al. article indicating there is an increased risk of serious adverse events of special interest in the vaccinated, receiving responses like “I’m not aware of the report”, “we do do routine screenings of the literature to look particularly for publications that include adverse events”, “I don’t have the actual rates of adverse events”, “in our clinical trials we observed no safety concerns”, and “I can provide that information on notice”.
