MSM biased against Israel and uncritically accepts terrorist group Hamas' lies?

Last week “The New York Times published news of an explosion at a hospital in Gaza City, leading its coverage with claims by Hamas government officials that an Israeli airstrike was the cause and that hundreds of people were dead or injured. The report included a large headline at the top of The Times’s website.” This appears to be misinformation, as “American and other international officials have said their evidence indicates that the rocket came from Palestinian fighter positions.” They now admit that “the early versions of the coverage — and the prominence it received in a headline, news alert and social media channels — relied too heavily on claims by Hamas, and did not make clear that those claims could not immediately be verified” and that “Times editors should have taken more care with the initial presentation, and been more explicit about what information could be verified”. This over-reliance on the lies of Hamas comes despite their being classified in the West as a terrorist group, which kills innocent people and recently paraded rape victims in the streets, and despite another NYT story acknowledging that “it is often impossible, in real time, for outsiders to know what is happening in the ceaselessly reigniting war between Israel and the Palestinians”. That story also noted that this misinformation “made headlines in leading news outlets, including this one. Politicians issued impassioned condemnations of what some called Israeli war crimes. Social media lit up with anguished howls of grief and rage. Furious protests erupted throughout the Middle East. A historic synagogue in Tunisia was reportedly set alight, and a synagogue was attacked with a firebomb in Berlin. The leaders of Jordan and Egypt canceled a meeting with President Biden, where they would have discussed aid to Gaza.” Source.
