I agree with your conclusion. Trans gender rights are an expression of human rights. And human rights don’t really matter in a world which ubiquitously accepts difference and where individuals are free to express themselves as long as they all respect and care for the good of others.

But it makes no sense to establish a transgender right that overrides and actually negates women’s rights to safe, women-only places and activities, including ablution blocks, public toilets, women’s refuges, sports, particularly those where age and gender differences are already established for reasons of health, safety and sporting fairness, especially given that women remain endangered by the lack of social respect exhibited by some men. I would add, having followed the issues arising in Scotland around the placement of a transgender person, born male, into a position of responsibility - leadership - in the women’s refuge movement, that it appears that person had little to no respect for women. So it was not OK to give those women’s rights to a transgender born male. And I think this precedent is something to learn from.

Exchanging your penis for a vagina is a pretty drastic step.

As I see it, getting it cut off doesn't change the fact the person was born a male and has male hormones which makes the person stronger than those born female and should not be allowed to compete in female sports. It just isn't fair.

That said, those who have acquired vaginas are no different sexually than those born female and I don't see why there would be a problem with them in a woman's toilet.

By the way, my pronouns are she-it because I talk a lot of it.

Actually for identification and classification purposes eg: filling in forms, toilet access, dressing room access & whatever other areas require objective clarity for one's self not for society, for whatever reason the words SEX and GENDER, these words are now not up to " the smell test"; suggest we either use 'DNA Id.' or nothing at all..... only offer MALE or FEMALE labelling. Stop applying the labels SEX and GENDER. This is all really not about acknowledging what you perceive your non biological DNA Id to be, but rather the current modern use of words to accurately communicate with one another has been overwhelmed by specific propaganda which has been used nowadays again and again in our communications to negate language. We need clear language to communicate with one another( please read The Unconscious Civilisation but John Ralston Saul- B.A. in Political Science, History, Economics McGill University, Montreal. )
